CLINICAL HYPNOSIS

Experience the Power of Clinical Hypnosis

At Tailored Brain Health, we are pleased to offer one-on-one clinical hypnosis sessions with our new provider, Allison Campbell, PhD. Clinical hypnosis—also known as hypnotherapy—is a powerful therapeutic tool that supports behavioral change, nervous system regulation, and deep emotional and physical relaxation.

Whether you're working through chronic stress, struggling to break unhelpful habits, or simply seeking to feel more at ease in your daily life, clinical hypnosis can help you move forward with greater clarity and calm.

How Clinical Hypnosis Can Help

Clinical hypnosis can serve as a bridge between intention and action, helping clients address mental and physical patterns that may feel hard to shift with willpower alone. It can also regulate the nervous system and improve overall well-being.

Clients often seek hypnotherapy to support goals such as:

  • Smoking cessation

  • Weight loss and healthy eating

  • Stress reduction

  • Sleep issues and insomnia

  • Chronic pain management

  • Binge eating or emotional eating

  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other GI disorders

  • Increased focus and mental clarity

  • Deep relaxation and anxiety relief

Is Hypnosis Right for You?

If you’ve tried to make lasting changes but keep getting stuck—or if you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, fatigue, or racing thoughts—hypnotherapy might be a supportive next step. Hypnosis can complement other treatments and self-care efforts and is suitable for most people looking to:

  • Feel more emotionally regulated

  • Make empowered behavioral choices

  • Improve sleep and energy

  • Reduce unwanted thoughts or cravings

Common Myths About Clinical Hypnosis

Will I be asleep or unconscious during clinical hypnosis?
No. You are not asleep or unconscious during a hypnosis session. Clinical hypnosis simply guides you into a focused, receptive mental state—somewhere between wakefulness and sleep—that can support meaningful cognitive, behavioral, and physiological shifts. You remain fully aware and in control of your experience at all times.

Is hypnosis a form of mind control?
Not at all. Clinical hypnosis is not mind control, and you cannot be made to do anything you don’t want to do. It’s more accurate to describe it as a form of deep relaxation, guided imagery, and intentional mental focus. You're an active participant in the process, and everything that happens during a session is guided by your goals and comfort.

Is hypnosis religious or spiritual?
Clinical hypnosis is not a religious practice. That said, some clients find it can support their spiritual or existential well-being, and sessions can be customized to reflect those values when appropriate.

Can I do clinical hypnosis alongside psychotherapy?
Yes. Clinical hypnosis is often used as an adjunct to therapy, and can be a powerful complement to other forms of mental health support. At Tailored Brain Health, Dr. Allison Campbell is trained in both evidence-based psychotherapy practices and clinical hypnosis. Depending on your needs, hypnosis can be your primary focus or integrated alongside ongoing therapeutic work.
